Urban Re-stitch Sewing Back Overlooked Spaces of the City

This work has been shaped by many voices, insights, and moments of collaboration that emerged through the shared pursuit of understanding and reimagining the overlooked spaces within our cities.
The Author extends deepest gratitude to Prof. Sonia Gupta, Dean, School of Architecture and Planning, Woxsen University, for her constant encouragement, vision, and academic guidance that nurtured the intellectual ground on which this exploration stands. Her belief in innovative design thinking and research-driven practice has been a continual source of inspiration.
My sincere thanks to the faculty and colleagues at the School of Architecture and Planning, Woxsen University, whose constructive dialogues and critical reflections enriched this study in meaningful ways, and to Awaisuddin Khan and Jahnavi N for their help during the process.
I am profoundly thankful to the students (B.Arch. Batch 2023–2028, SoAP, Woxsen University), whose creativity, curiosity, and commitment to rethinking urban spaces have been the heart of this journey. Their design explorations, field studies, and project contributions brought depth, diversity, and vitality to the ideas presented in this book.
This work is, above all, a collective reflection of a product of shared learning and an acknowledgment of the everyday efforts that continue to make architectural education a living and evolving discourse.
To all who believe that the city’s forgotten corners hold the power to inspire, we thank you for being part of this conversation.
